Or, as I contest, just because it knows it is annoying doesn't make it any less annoying.

I have never cared for Deadpool as a character. There's nothing genuinely subversive about either him or the film. It's a corporate product cynically machine-tooled for a particular audience, with every joke about Fox, Disney, Kevin Feige, etc carefully approved by powers-that-be.
