Out of Africa has a remarkable score by John Barry, but I must say I've never massively cared for it and would have much preferred Witness or Back to the Future to have won Best Picture that year. All that said, in the spirit of this article, your remarks have urged me to give it a rewatch.

As Good As It Gets is also on the rewatch list (I remember being fairly indifferent, but I've only seen it once, during the original run).
