"Pencils, ballpoint pens, ring-bound notebooks, laptops, phones" don't write for you. That's the difference.
I am not a landscape gardener, but let's say I took the view that those naturally skilled in landscape gardening are exercising their "privilege" by carrying out their craft whilst I lack their skill. If a robot could do the bulk of the landscape gardening work for me because I'm busy with other things, and I then tweaked a few stones here and there, passing it off as my own work, I can imagine genuine landscape gardeners would rightly be insulted.
I don't approve of AI as a means to create articles, books, and so forth. This idea of AI somehow "democratising" writing for those less skilled is an insult to real writers.
