Personal history isn't really what I write, so I'm reticent to get into autobiography. I tend to stick to my subjects.

But yes, it is a great story. Here's one interesting posthumous anecdote: After she came to the UK, my grandmother worked for the RAF, and managed to talk down a German pilot who was lost in fog. She spoke German to him over the radio, convincing him he was over Hamburg. She landed him on the south coast of England on an RAF runway, and that was the end of the war for him.
