Pet Shop Boys - Very was my favourite 1993 album. It had five singles which were mostly brilliant (especially Can You Forgive Her and Yesterday When I Was Mad, though the 1994 single version of the latter is superior). Village People cover Go West was a smash hit single too (reaching number 2 in the UK and number 1 in various other countries), but I think it's the weakest track on the album, and actually wish the B-side - the sublime Shameless - had been released as the A-side, as was originally the plan. Go West was meant to be the B-side, but for some reason Shameless got booted off the album in favour of Go West. Outside of that, the album is flawless, with some amazing non-single tracks including Dreaming of the Queen, The Theatre, and Young Offender.

I also love this album because it came out just after I started University. Loads of happy memories. :)
