Same here. The first series of The Boys had occasional amusing satirical swipes, but I had to cleanse my palate afterwards with some Superman (with Christopher Reeve) or Captain America.

I'm not a huge fan of Watchmen either. I admire rather than like it (the comic at any rate, not the film).
