I’m reliably informed it is “spooky season”. For the Dillon Empire, spooky season lasts all year, and my preoccupation with horror fiction reflects this. Nonetheless, I’m shamelessly leaping on a calendar-related bandwagon started by Aimée Gramblin and further perpetuated by Sir Paul Combs (Knight of the Dillon Empire) and Patrick Metzger by listing herein previously published horror or horror-ish short stories, and one novella, available for your reading pleasure here on Medium.

To start with, here’s a six-part novella entitled Infestation. In a near-future where humans are menaced by giant spiders, mercenaries enter an arachnid nest on a mission of vengeance. This is part one, and there are links to subsequent parts at the end of each instalment, assuming you have the nerves of steel required to carry on reading.
