Some great points here.
Regarding Pixar, if I were to select one film that most needs the big screen from their back catalogue, I’d go with Wall-E. But Up is an absolutely wonderful piece of work, and I love that poignant opening segment.
Jurassic Park came very, very close to being my Spielberg choice for this list. But that appearance of the mothership in Close Encounters narrowly edged it out. I will say this for Jurassic Park: The sound effects probably constitute my favourite sound effects ever. It not only has to be seen in a cinema but in a properly aligned THX equipped cinema, where every audio nuance can be fully appreciated.
