…ckled, amused by the tiny creature courageously facing off with a giant, but the humor didn’t last. The sun had already dried him, and the salt from the swim made his skin feel tight and tacky. His hair looked like a bramble of yarn, and it hadn’t felt a comb run through it since the day he entered the jungle on his search Tanemahuta and his horseshoe-shaped camp cut into the lush forest of New Zealand’s tropical foliage.
