Sorry for the comment vomit, but I'm glad you share my passion for all things gothic. I wrote this piece if you're interested (concerning the writing of gothic novels). As an Englishman, it pained me to "correct" the spellings to American for this article, but at the time, The Writing Cooperative insisted on American (I refuse to call it "US English") so there we are.
