Sounds like a fascinating read. On a related note, a bizarre true story: I once met Major Howard who had to hold Pegasus Bridge during the D-Day landings. What's more I ran into him by chance, at Pegasus Bridge itself, during a school trip to Normandy in May of 1989. He agreed to give us all an impromptu talk telling us his story re: Pegasus Bridge, which was fascinating. An amazing coincidence.
