Thank you. :)

Let me unpack your unpacking of my unpacking:

3) I use the term "guilty pleasure" not because I feel guilt of any kind, but because it is a widely used and understood expression for a film that objectively isn't good but that one enjoys regardless.

I certainly don't subscribe to the idea that because I like it that makes it good. I think there is such a thing as objective evaluation versus personal feelings. I compartmentalise these things a great deal, but such thought processes are doubtless down to personality, temperament, and so forth. I daresay whether one "does nuance" is down to the same factors.

4) I'm not a fan of Dan Brown, I must say, but that film was enjoyable despite its ludicrousness. I mean, how can one not enjoy parachuting pontiffs and a ludicrously miscast Ewan McGregor chewing scenery?

I haven't seen I Smile Back. It didn't get a UK release.
