Thank you. I agree both The Martian and Kingdom of Heaven don't get enough credit.

To pick up on a couple of your other points:

How many directors have a filmography this good? Well, there are a few: Stanley Kubrick, Steven Spielberg, David Lean, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese... But yes, Ridley Scott has an impressive body of work. :)

Blade Runner love scene: I think you might find my take on this interesting, if you click the link to my article on the film (I've also added it at the end of this comment, for your convenience). Over the years, I have read other interpretations. For instance, this scene is in keeping with hard boiled noir tropes (somewhat clumsily, if that's the exclusive reasoning), and also as simply being emotionally overwhelming for the characters concerned. Rachel wants Deckard, as she makes that clear when she says "put your hands on me". Some argue there's an implication that she is still in control from that line, even though she was overwhelmed by her feelings of sexual attraction (whilst perhaps simultaneously wanting to leave for other reasons that had nothing to do with a lack of desire for Deckard, if that makes sense). Obviously, a scene like this can be interpreted other ways (as per the lack of consent argument) but I still think the most interesting interpretation of the scene is none of the above, and the one I explain in my article (hopefully that's intrigued you enough to take a look). :)
