To be fair, there are some great Brad Pitt performances: Se7en, Ocean's Eleven, Twelve Monkeys, and my personal favourite, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (in which he is nonetheless upstaged by Casey Affleck). But I take your general point. :)
