The service was reverent, the four hymns were a mix of traditional and modern, the homily was both enlightening and under ten minutes long (Pope Francis would have been pleased), there was a little Latin here and there, and there was Gregorian chant throughout (the Vatican II document Sacrosanctum Concilium called for Gregorian chant to be given pride of place in liturgical services).
