That's a huge question. It's simpler to ask what I don't like (Celine Dion, and I'm also not big on country and western).

Here's a few examples of bands/artists I like from decades I grew up in:

1970s: Queen, ABBA, Blondie, The Jam, The Clash, The Police, David Bowie, Gary Numan, Bee Gees, Joy Division, Jackson Five, Bruce Springsteen (Paul Combs would never forgive me if I don't mention him).

1980s: The Smiths, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Simple Minds, Duran Duran, A-ha, Human League, Run DMC, Prince, Beastie Boys, Guns n Roses, U2, Talking Heads, ABC, Wham, George Michael, Tears for Fears, Echo and the Bunnymen, INXS, Kylie Minogue, The Stone Roses... Probably my favourite era, for sheer nostalgia.

1990s: Blur, Nirvana, The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Leftfield, Take That, Spice Girls, Jamiroquai, Shamen, KLF, Suede, Pulp, Supergrass, Radiohead, Oasis... Actually, I'd say this era is tied with the 80s for me.

I like loads of stuff from this century too, but I'll leave it there for now.
