That's a perfectly valid point. There are lots of untold stories about women that need to be told, and it is in everyone's interest to hear them. I completely agree that cinema history is lopsided in favour of men, on the whole.

One area of recent cinema where women getting much better stories is horror, I'd argue, both in front of and behind the camera. (Examples below, if you're interested.)
