… I get when I ask someone why they didn’t like it. Its stupid. It's trying too hard. Too ambiguous. It made me uncomfortable and I’m not sure why.

That's what a horror film should do. Criticising Midsommar for this is as absurd as criticising a comedy for being too funny.
