The Dark Knight has a knockout opening, I agree. As does Inglorious Basterds, though the film itself is inconsistent, and I still think Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are Tarantino's best films. The opening of the latter would probably be my pick from Tarantino as an opener, purely for the tipping debate.
As for Bond, I'm a huge fan of them all, except for the Brosnan years which I was fairly indifferent about. Casino Royale has a stunning opener, I agree. If I had to pick just one Bond opener though.... Hmmm. It's tough. Probably between From Russia with Love and Goldfinger. Or (at a stretch, for the more ridiculous Moore era) The Spy Who Loved Me.
