The Endgame moment you mention got me too. And yes - Old Yeller and that bit in The Jungle Book are good shouts (despite the deft fake-out in the latter).

An aside on Friends: I've loathed that series for decades. I get that it is well-written, but damn... I just find it irritating beyond belief. However, these days I want to like it on principle as there's been a fair bit of posthumous offence stirred up among the professionally offended brigade who want it "cancelled".
