…ng was far better, so the band recorded the song again to be more suitable for frequent radio play. The re-recorded version of Here I Go Again became a major hit, breaking into various charts and hailed as one of the greatest Rock songs of all time.

The only version I know is the 1987 single version that hit the UK charts. But I'm aware of another version in the music video. I much prefer the 1987 version. :)
