There's actually quite a sizeable contingent of hardcore cineastes shouting about this issue, so it's not as bleak as I originally thought. The real worry (for me, at least) is that newer films may be tougher to track down in physical form. I already own most of my older favourites on DVD or Blu Ray, but what happens when, to take a recent example, Disney decides not to put the excellent All of Us Strangers on DVD or Blu Ray? Hopefully, such cases will be isolated, but there's already quite an outcry about that specific example. I've just paid through the nose for a Blu Ray of Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio too, but I was determined to own that one. Such a lovely piece of work.
