They are indeed consistently playful and entertaining. At their best (Captain America: Civil War, for instance) they are outright masterpieces of superhero cinema, and this film (and one or two others in the canon) will be lauded as pop culture classics by future film critics.

I love Martin Scorsese dearly, and even wrote this piece recently defending him, but he is wrong about Marvel.
