They do seem to be having a sort-of comeback, I agree. In the Heights is another recent example. But I am not sure how long this will last, as I know both In the Heights and West Side Story weren't exactly huge hits (the latter was particularly surprising, considering the prestige of Spielberg). Still, perhaps the filmmakers also have one eye on streaming service revenue too.
