This brought a tear to my eye. Not only is it a splendid appraisal of one of my all-time favourite films, but it's framed in such a beautiful way, as a tribute to your late father.
My own father passed away in 2012, also of a sudden heart attack that came out of nowhere, so I deeply relate to this. My father wasn't as obsessed with cinema as I am (he was an Englsh teacher and more a books person), but he had good taste in films nonetheless. I know what it's like to see a new release knowing he would have loved it but he's no longer there to enjoy it. I also know what it's like watching a classic I know he loved, and being reminded of seeing it with him for the first time.
Anyway, I'm raising a glass to your father, and to mine. :)
