This enthusiastic movie nerd doesn't believe in walking out of anything. I watch all the way to the end even if I hate it, so I can have an informed opinion on the entire thing (and write a nicely scathing review). Bad films, books, etc are also useful to me as a fiction writer (arguably more useful than good films and books) as the study of failed storytelling is illuminating.
This is a hugely enjoyable read, by the way. Poor Things is out in January in the UK, and I'm looking forward to seeing it (I'm a big fan of both Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone).
