This has always been an absolutely ridiculous, not to mention utterly nonsensical film. But it is outrageously entertaining. The death of Heather (to the strains of Queen's Who Wants to Live Forever) has some genuine poignancy, I think. But I don't disagree with your criticisms of the film.
