This is a superb personal essay. I only know the Jessie Waddell I've met over the last few months, but she is truly a wonderful creature: erudite, intelligent, compassionate, supportive, self-deprecating, and possessed of a deliciously dark wit. She is nothing less than heroic to have emerged from this dark underworld of pain, tragedy, and trauma.

I'm sure this essay will be hugely relatable for many people. Personally, I find this highlighted line most relatable, albeit in very different contexts to those described herein.
