This is a superb piece that combines one of my favourite films with the formative experiences of one of my favourite writers.

It so happens that Alien and Aliens are playing at my local multiplex this weekend. I might just catch them again (it will be the fifth and fourth time respectively I've seen each of them in the cinema).
