This is an astonishingly intense (and brilliantly written) piece that reminded me of recurring nightmares I once endured as a child. I won't get into more detail here. Perhaps one day I'll write about them. But they were definitely connected to what happened to me in the early part of my life, when my parents were part of a hideously oppressive cult.
