In this way and finally, it’s not hyperbolic to suggest what this indicates: a dark fate for the future of blockbusters. If movies can simply bypass typical quality and beam straight into people’s homes, either through sheer force of will, comfort, money, or advertising space, then it sends a signal like a tidal wave shooting through the streaming industry: quality matters less than convenience. No need to spend time on engaging or rewarding stories when what matters more is effects-heavy action chasing crowd-pleasers. After all, that’s what gets views, right?
