This is an immensely moving piece. I’m still chewing it over but I have so much respect for the way you acknowledge human complexity and how people are not necessarily one thing. And obviously I vastly respect the way you did not demonise the father to your children. I have similar respect for my mother in law who faced a similar situation with her children and acted as you did.
