When deciding what I'll see (at the cinema - I don't really do streaming) I typically rely on a few trusted critics (Mark Kermode and Peter Bradshaw, for instance), whilst being fully aware of their biases, and my own desire to see a broad range of film across genres and styles, commercial and less so.
