This is brilliantly written and relatable. I was made redundant from a television job I'd held for over 23 years in 2020, and quite honestly I think the main reason was that the new bosses disliked me (it had been a very different story with the previous bosses). Still, I likewise endeavoured not to burn bridges, and today I still do some freelance writing work for them on the side.
