This is hilariously scathing, but what bothers me is it is far too close to reality for comfort. In my last job, an American "expert" businessman was brought in by the company's new American owners to evaluate the business. When I spoke to him, I discovered he "doesn't read" except "the Bible" (probably the "American version" you mention here). I immediately knew not to trust him, and was proved right. Never trust someone who doesn't read. If they lack a desire for knowledge or even to put themselves in the shoes of someone else through fiction, they will invariably lack humanity and compassion.
