This question is far too open ended for a cineaste like me, but as far as current mainstream Hollywood is concerned, Christopher Nolan, Jordan Peele, and Denis Villeneuve are among my favourites. Obviously, I'll go and see anything Spielberg or Scorsese direct too.

I'm not a fan of Zack Snyder (to put it mildly). I just about tolerated 300 but... Well, here's my take on his version of Justice League, if you enjoy a scathing read. :)
