Three things:

1) This is brilliantly written.

2) I like the Bee Gees, and am a big fan of pop music in general from all eras, but the sentiments inherent in this chapter, concerning potential marital partners leaving areas of being unsuited to one another unaddressed, is a vitally important one. The Bee Gees are merely the tip of an iceberg, I'm sensing.

3) If I'd been writing this, the artist singled out for derision would have been Celine Dion, not the Bee Gees.
