To be fair, I didn't entirely dismiss it. I liked the music and animation and found a few bits entertaining. :) I get what it was attempting to deal with (with the whole generational trauma thing, etc). I just don't think it worked in a satisfying way. This kind of subject matter has been dealt with far better elsewhere (Coco, for instance).
Of course I understand that not everything is for me, but as an ardent cineaste with a broad appreciation for all forms of cinema (including Disney animated features - here's a list of my favourites if you're interested), I stand by what I said. The whole point of a review is to state an opinion. Of course, it is merely my opinion, as a humble reviewer. Other opinions are available. :)
