Tom Baker and Elisabeth Sladen are my absolute favourites. I must check out her memoir.

Post 2005, I'd say it's a very close run thing between Tennant and Smith. I think maybe Smith wins by a nose, but Tennant had the better stories overall. And my favourite companion is Amy Pond (and Rory, who's also brilliant). :)
