Tommy is absolutely nuts. I was first shown the film by none other than Ken Russell himself, who taught a semester at the University I attended. He was a great bloke. Really eccentric, funny, and made many useful suggestions when I showed him my short films in rough cut (I went the TV rather than film route in the end, and writing has always been my main passion).
