Totally agreed. I cannot understand why people don't rate this film higher. It's quite superb.

…think about this movie as well as the beloved and simply unsurpassable cult status of the original, I do think this film is one of the most under appreciated movies not only in Cruise’s career but in Spielberg’s as well.
Tom Cruise is actually a pretty damn good actor
