…lin to make its protagonists more heroic, more like people you want to follow and want to root for. The complicated politics and plans-within-plans are mostly scrapped for, again, a more concise, action-packed narrative that doesn’t alienate the audience. It’s a lesson I truly wish Lynch’s film learned early on.
