Well, casting my mind back to my early twenties before I met my wife, I was incredibly picky, to the point that some around me said I was far too picky. But if we're talking about someone I'm going to spend the rest of my life with, details are important. As are compatible personality traits, worldviews, etc. And there was no way I was going to spend the rest of my life with someone who had Neanderthal taste in films. Hahahahaha!

Seriously though, even with all that in mind, marriage is always a leap of faith, and thank God mine has worked out, 24 years into it. I'm a bit of an old-fashioned romantic, so if I was single today, I certainly wouldn't go on apps, no matter what society says. I prefer to meet people organically, or be introduced socially. I can't abide the idea of treating romance like a job interview.

If you're single and looking for a romantic partner, I wish you all the very best finding someone, by the way. :)
