Well, if you aren't human I can hardly demand that you demonstrate human characteristics. But either way, Back to the Future certainly isn't "very average". Yes, the time travel stuff hardly stretches the brain (if you're determined to compare it to Doctor Who, etc), but that's merely a plot device. The heart of the film is the restoration and improvement of the relationship between his parents, and all the emotionally exhilarating details of that process. There's nothing "very average" about that. It's brilliantly funny, touching, and a delight to watch. :)
