Well written as usual, but I'm not sure I agree re: the Sicario films, especially the first one, which I think depressingly (and probably accurately) conveys CIA compromise concerning drug cartels. They know supply won't go away whilst there is a demand, so they'd rather control it as best they can. Also, the cinematography (Roger Deakins) is superb. I love that sequence near the end where they descend into the tunnels. It almost feels like a descent into the underworld, Greek tragedy style.
