Whilst I am all in favour of reasonable measures to protect the environment, I find Klaus Schwab and his elitist ilk sinister and dangerous, for all sorts of reasons. His authoritarian tone, telling us proles how we will live, for our own good, bothers me a great deal. It reminds me of the recent occasion when Emma Thompson (a woman I admire enormously as an actress) had the temerity to fly to London to an Extinction Rebellion summit, to lecture ordinary people, telling us off for flying abroad on holiday. The hypocrisy and arrogance makes my blood boil.

However, you're probably right that Schwab wasn't primarily thinking of DVDs, etc. It just annoys me that his prediction seems to have come to pass in this area.
