Whilst I applaud you desire to highlight overlooked films and your desire to spread the love, so to speak, two things here I must address.

"Saltburn is British and weird and super dumb" - 1) British? Yes, obviously, 2) I suppose, though to me "weird" isn't a bad thing and also this isn't a film I'd consider "weird". David Lynch's filmography would provide better examples. 3) Nope. It's a darkly comic, deliberately absurdist pastiche of gothic tropes and only pretends to have something serious to say about class inequality. Far from "super dumb".

Asteroid City: I found it absolutely insufferable, and here's why:
