Whilst some of this made me laugh (because, as my wife tells me, I'm snobby as hell) I really couldn't care less if people wish to tattoo themselves.

I do get amused when I hear bad tattoo stories though - such as one person I met who got a Hebrew tattoo which they thought meant something profound like "Peace" and it turned out to be something totally banal.
