Worst songs by a few random bands/singers I love:
Queen - We are the champions. I love Queen, but this one just annoys me for some reason.
Pet Shop Boys - Go West. OK, I don't hate this Village People cover, but it did not deserve to be their biggest selling single ever (which apparently it is, even though it only got to number 2 in the UK). I've never much cared for either version, and really the B-side to this single - the magnificent, satirical, more relevant than ever Shameless - ought to have been the lead single from the otherwise excellent Very album (it isn't on the album, because purely because the boys worked on it so much they got fed up of it and petulantly left it off).
Radiohead - Creep. I like a lot of Radiohead tracks, but not this breakthrough hit. I just find it interminable.
Blur - Beetlebum. It's just dreary. Song 2 and On Your Own are miles better singles from that album.
Oasis - Roll with it. For some reason, it makes me think of a bowl of soup (you get a roll with it).
John Lennon/The Beatles - Imagine. Hugely overrated. Give me Jealous Guy any day over Imagine.
Madonna - Like a Virgin. Give me Holiday, Into the Groove, Papa Don't Preach, La Isla Bonita, Like a Prayer, or any other 80s Madonna single over this one.
Michael Jackson - Heal the World. A steaming pile of excrement. Thankfully the next single released from that album was the superb Give in to Me.
