Yes, I suspect it probably won't be remembered in the same way as the films to which it owes a debt, but it's a very strong piece of work all the same.

Of course, I have been a regular cinemagoer since about the age of twelve or so, once I started going alone and wasn't dependent on dragging parents along (I go about two or three times a week, on average). :)
